I want to give this place 4 stars but out of my three experiences there, one was bad. The place wasn't full but the waiter wasn't paying enough attention to our table. We had to flag him down several times for various things (drinks, salads, appetizers, check). He also served us a bowl of fruit (grapes) which were bad. Not just "we're in the middle of winter" bad but moldy and rotten bad. It was a frustrating experience, to say the least. On the good side, the other two times I've been here have been fantastic! I really enjoy their food and like that they serve beer if you need one. It has a good old fashioned ambiance that makes it easy to kick back, relax and have an appetizer or dessert. I will probably go back but its on its last chance.

This is place is more like an old age cafeteria. We were seated next to the loudest, hackling old ladies group. To make matters worse my salad came out with a bunch of shredded ice berg lettuce, 2- 1/8 size artichoke hearts, and rock sized portions of blue cheese. It was called "The Parisian" salad and was by far the worst salad I have ever eaten. My boyfriend ordered taco's and he couldn't pick them up to eat them because the shell's were so stale, they fell apart. When we brought up the shells, the waitress didn't offer us a remedy. When we told her about the blue cheese, she again wouldn't offer a solution. Over-all it was a shitty experience. We won't be eating there ever again.

Food was decent at this location. Wait staff was a little slow to get us our drink order and our starters. Would still recommend as a good American homecooked style restaurant.

I ordered a Monterey omelette with crispy bacon and fruit instead of blast potatoes. Not only did Laurie, our server make sure my order was correct, she was very pleasant to deal with. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Very nice place. Decor is a little misguided because it doesn't seem to have any direction. But that makes for interesting conversation. Food was delicious and brought out quickly and was correct. Not a very good beer selection but there is something for everyone.

we went here for breakfast before a movie.. we mentioned to the waitress we were in a bit of hurry , and she was super fantastic, she got us our food fast, My husband got a omelette and a delish blueberry muffin, it actually taste more like angel food cake but it was good, i had eggs benedict florentine and it was sooo good, the only down side was the price, everything was a bit pricey. but it was pretty good.

Mimi's is our first choice for Sunday brunch. It's very very busy after noon on Sundays, but if you get there before 11 it makes for a great morning. Try the Crab-Avocado omelet, it rocks.

Compared to fancier places to eat Mimi's might only get a 3 or 4 star. Compared to other places to eat in the same "category" Mimi's shines. We got a wide range of things as we like to do at a place we have never eaten before. (Quesadilla appetizer, mocha and hot chocolate to drink, pot roast for dinner and brownie w/ ice cream for dessert) The food surprised us for the taste and quality. It seemed to us like more of a step up from the "fast food" like it should be nicer than Denny's, kind of looking like Marie Calendars, but the food was really good. We need to go back and try some other things. The service was prompt and friendly and helpful when asked questions about the menu. Also since it was our first time there they gave us 4 muffins to take home. We were also very surprised about their baked goods. The muffins were dense where they needed to be dense and soft and fluffy for the muffins that should have been soft and fluffy. Shock co-workers by bringing Mimi's muffins to your next office function. They are world's better than the standard "Costco Muffins". Very solid on their comfort food. We'll be back for sure!

I have been here a couple times now, and I am less than impressed. The first time I went, it was a very nice day out, and the staff was surprised and confused when we requested an outdoor table. It took them awhile to get one cleaned up for us...weird since it was springtime, 70+ degrees outside. Soon after, other customers joined us outside, and it took them awhile to get those tables cleared off, too. The last time I went for lunch, my boyfriend and I waited nearly 20min for our drinks to come out and for them to take our food order. We almost walked out seeing as how the restaurant was VERY, VERY slow, so there should not have been a problem getting prompt service. The staff was standing around talking instead of waiting on customers. Once we gave our food order, it came out fairly quickly, but it was nothing to brag about. Service is 1/2 the experience when going out to eat, and I will not be going back here.

MIMIS is either hit or miss The food is always great. HUGE portions. Great muffins. Great soup.. Service? Well if you get the waitress that have been then forever its good. But others...your like where did they go?? So as I said hit or miss. Great French Dip, Crab cakes, soups!! Large portions for kiddos as well... We go there a few times a year and enjoy it for breakfast and lunch. Dinner had NOT been good there for either of us.

I can't give many stars to a chain restaurant as a rule ;-) But I do come to this location now and then with VERY large groups. They are able to accomodate us and we like the large menu selection that can fit the several necessities that it comes with a group of 20-30 people. I usually choose the Ham and Cheese crepes and a cafe' au lait. I can't say that this is the best food in town, but it does have its up sides to be able to go to a restaurant that can easily fit such a large group. I also truly like the look and feel of both Mimi's (the other one is near Marshall's on the north end). For a chain, I'd say they have done a good job at trying to making it feel 'cozy and interesting'.

Had breakfast here a few weeks ago. This place was packed... 30-45 minute wait for a table inside, but we opted to sit on the patio so were seated right away. I had "pane perdue" (?sp) - wow! Delicious! Bread with cream cheese and orange marmalade in between and then cooked like french toast!! Yummy! Along with scrambled eggs, potatoes, OJ, coffee -- more food than two people could eat. Pretty good service considering the poor guy was swamped with people coming in the side gate and seating themselves!! YIKES!

The hostess could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The waiter could not have been less interested. Very flat affect. Maybe he needs an antidepressant. The consistent response to "Thank you" was "No problem". He was checking his cell phone as we were leaving. The salad is served with a muffin, YUK! No offer of bread as an alternative. Won't return.

We tried Mimi's for Sunday brunch - and the experience left us un-impressed: they ran out of OJ (Seriously?) - and then they managed to get both the type of eggs I ordered wrong, and the type of meat side my husband ordered wrong... Overall the food was fine I guess - if you're fine with "whatever you get" vs. what you ordered.

This place has fantastic food! So tasty and both my children were in heaven....and they ate every morsel! Loved the turkey dinner, loved the kiddo burgers, the dessert, loved everything. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted. I would definitely come eat here every year that we visit! I'm so glad that the front desk at the Hilton Homewood Suites recommended Mimi's Cafe.

Mimi's is such a weird place. It's supposedly a "New Orleans-themed" restaurant, but I don't see it at all. I've been to New Orleans, and this ain't it. It's pretty good, but it's... so strange. I've had Eggs and Bacon, Seafood Omelets, Muffins, Pancakes, and Waffles for breakfast, and Beef Bourguignon, BBQ Jicama Salads, Pot Roasts, and more for dinner. There's really no common thread in the menu. It's just such an eclectic assortment that it's hard to peg this place. It's not bad, it really isn't. But picture this: you have some guests from out of town, and you're deciding where to go for dinner. They ask you if Mimi's Cafe is any good. You say yes. They ask "what's it like?" You say "uhhh.... it's hard to explain....." That's Mimi's Cafe.

I can't change my side item?? What?? I tried to order the tartine with sweet potato fries instead of salad... the server looked at me like I asked her for a million dollars. Not only can you not get fries, but you can't substitute anything for the salad. Lame.... I love Mimi's food but I was completely disappointed by this outdated food service approach.

We went for breakfast this time. Breakfast was amazing...try the mimosa sampler! That was super delicious. It's a little pricey for what you get, but at least I didn't have to leave with another doggie bag. Our service on the other hand was horrible. My husband was ready to dine and dash because it took her so damn long to get our check. We sat there for a god 15 minutes with empty drinks and clean plates. Luckily we had exact change so we did not have to wait for change. Service has ALWAYS been a problem at this location.

Re-visit yesterday with daughter and grandkids....corn chowder and salads were still great; but, my daughter and I had turkey (one sandwich and one wrap)...toughest turkey I've ever had....someone should check to see if the chef is missing a shoe....if this were our first visit, it would have been our last. Otherwise a nice lunch and we'll go back, but we'll stay away from the turkey!

This place is not as good as everyone says it is. First of all, my waitress was as dull as ever. I don't even think she smiled once. She came around a total of 2 times during the entire meal, first to get the order, second to drop off the check. I had the crab cakes and salmon. My son had the chicken fingers. My crab cakes were burned on one side, completely black. It was like the cook made sure he flipped it upside down so I wouldn't notice. It was like eating charcoal with tangy sauce on it. My salmon was also overcooked, so much that I just couldn't tolerate eating it. Disgusting. The Hibachi sauce was sour as crap, and my veggies looked and had the texture of baby food. I swear I had better FROZEN dishes than this. Never coming back again, they suck.

On my cross-country trip from Boston to Seattle, I stopped by Colorado Springs to see my sister. She INSISTED that we take our grumbly tummies to Mimi's Cafe; I happily obliged. Mimi's was super rad! Two (right?) large rooms with tall ceilings; definitely made for a great place to relax and eat your life away. My sister then insisted that I order a mimosa and some sort of benedict dish... boy, was she right. Damn good. Maybe this is standard, but coming from Boston where everyone is cold and quiet, and then in Seattle where looking at another person is not acceptable, I found my waitress to be the most pleasant ever.

Came here for lunch today. Its usually pretty quiet, with an older vibe. Decor is kind of kitschy. Service: Seated quickly and orders taken quickly. Food came out sloow though, don't think that was the waitresses fault. She seemed to be hustling pretty good with all the tables she had. Food: Pretty much all comfort food. And it was excellent on this visit. I had the pot roast (could be a slightly larger portion), but it was cooked perfectly and the broccoli and potatoes were very good as well. Its a good lunch spot, if you have some time.

Food took to long and they brought everything out at once which I don't like personally. They were out of most beer and the waitress kept forgetting what we asked for. Now the food was still good and most the time this place is good. I think today may have just been an off day.

Good food but what I really like about this restaurant so far has been the service. The servers have been great, especially last time and the manager is very customer oriented. A lot of the times you rarely see a manager in a restaurant setting. I've seen him every time we've been there and he's been very attentive both times. Example: today we went for dinner and my kiddo got the chills. She's a freeze baby so we had a sweater in the car for her which I went and got. The manager came over, asked if we were ok and if he could turn down the air even and then refilled my drink. We'll definitely be back with this type of service.

Mimi's is a pretty typical place to go with your mother, and we did just that. Their breakfast is exactly what you would think: eggs, bacon, omelets, waffles, muffins. Staff was nice and handled a shift change very well.

Best service yet! When one makes a mistake (ie: a certain moving company I've recently reviewed) & they are belligerent about owning up to and exceeding expectations, I tend to want to warn others. In the same regard, when one owns up to their mistake and then proceeds to see to your every whim AND then chooses to cut your bill in half, you want to make sure they are not only noticed, but rewarded! This is the case with this Mimi's location. What did they do that was so horrible?!? They didn't greet us upon sitting. Yep, that's it! That's all. The waitress gushed apologies, made everything right and then cut our bill in half. I wish all businesses could have this much integrity (ie: a certain low-down, shady, willfully criminal moving company).

While visiting my older brother in Peyton,CO we enjoyed a luncheon opportunity at Mimi's Cafe. Mimi's turned into a perfect spot to relax and enjoy good food. The greeter was friendly and engaging, and anxious to make us feel welcome. Our party of four was served by JC who was equally generous with his time and conversation. The food was quite good. I tried the Mushroom Brie Burger. My burger was perfectly cooked "as legally rare as allowed". The soups were good, as well as the coffee. For our party, it was a good, tasteful, and relaxing experience. Thank you Mimi's Cafe and your staff.

The food is great at this location and so is the service. We ate here last evening and our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent; it tasted excellent, was served at the proper temperature and looked great. It's great that they have the $5 Wine special all the time. We will surely be going back on a regular basis.

Love this location - and I'm sorry it took me so long to come back to Mimi's! This place is amazing for breakfast/brunch. The cinnamon roll French toast is heaven, the muffins and croissants are delicious and even healthier options like the egg white frittatas are killer. Modified the Cobb salad to drop the chicken and bacon for a vegetarian style and it was awesome. The creme brulee cheesecake is also a brilliant take on two classics that is craveworthy. My only complaints are that I wish they had more vegetarian options for lunch and dinner, and the service can sometimes be a little slow, but the brunch is so good that my husband and I have made this a regular weekend habit. Delicious.

Ate brunch with my friends here today, and had a wonderful time! The waitress was patient, quick, and attentive. It was my first time eating eggs benedict, and they were wonderful. It was also my first time trying a mimosa, and it was fantastic. My daughter had the oatmeal and loved it as well! Overall, a wonderful experience.
Good service with a French cuisine. The lunch menu isn't all that expansive, yet offers enough to get something decent. There are two salmon salads to pick from. Topnotch! It comes with a baguette or choice of muffin.

Went there yesterday and was very disappointed. It was lunchtime with only one section of the restaurant with any patrons. We checked out the menu and saw it had drastically changed since our last visit. No longer do they have the comfort food they had before. After awhile I decided on the French Quarter burger, mostly because it had a good combination of stuff and was on sourdough. Well, the cafe was out of sourdough so the waitress asked if I would substitute bread with parmesan. I resigned as nothing else really jumped out at me on the new menu. Awhile later our food came and it was a mix of the burger I wanted and another one on the menu!? Since service had been slow I decided to grin and bear it. The waitress blamed the kitchen but when we got our receipt it clearly showed a different burger than the one I ordered. I also upgraded to onion straws which were very greasy. My wife and son had fries that were barely a step above fast food. Anyhow, with the change on menu, the slow and imprecise service, and a lack of old favorites, Mimi's is no longer on my list of places to go. Thank goodness we had a gift certificate!

Very, very, very bland food. Lotta razzle dazzle with the decor & euro ambiance. But the food was extremely unimpressive.

Loved their salmon, chocolate croissants and caesar salad. I would definitely come back for either lunch or breakfast.

Mimi's cafe is by far my favorite restaurant. The lunch specials are delicious and affordable! Service is always phenomenal!

Used a buy one get on free entrée coupon which Mimi's sent to my email. Good food, pleasant server...until the check arrived. We were then informed we had to have had two drinks in order for the coupon to be honored, a condition we were not informed of when we showed the coupon before ordering the meal. Asked to talk to the manager, Mr Frank Chavez, who curtly informed us that was printed on the coupon (true in ultra small print), the server was in training, and there was nothing he could do about it. We've been regular customers for several years, but will NOT be back again...don't know what the purpose of having a manager is if is not to respond to customer's concerns, which this man was incapable of doing.

Good service with a French cuisine. The lunch menu isn't all that expansive, yet offers enough to get something decent. There are two salmon salads to pick from. Topnotch! It comes with a baguette or choice of muffin.

Food is good. Service is consistently awful.
